Volleyball got back to winning with a 5 set victory over Princeton last night. Oregon fell to 14th nationally after a 3 game losing streak against all top ten opponents. The win moves Oregon to 3-3 on the year.
Oregonlive writes that the Duck football team is focused on improving their short yardage running as conference play starts this weekend. Oregon’s third down conversion rate of 38.46% ranks 77th nationally and compares poorly to last years conversion rate of 42.86% which ranked 34th nationally.
The Daily Emerald says that the Oregon receivers have stepped up so far this season following a year where they were highly scrutinized as a weakness on the offense. The leader in catching passes so far have been Johnny Johnson III, who has already broken 200 yards receiving after only 215 all last year.
