Former USC WR Devon Wiiliams Transfers to Oregon

A familiar face has taken a circuitous route to Eugene. Welcome, Devon!

NCAA Football: Southern California at Oregon State Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

After a bizarre week, former USC wide receiver Devon Williams has committed to transfer to Oregon per his Twitter

Williams announced his intention to transfer from USC earlier this month after losing playing time in the crowded receiver room in Los Angeles.

In a wild week of recruiting, Oregon State announced that Williams would join their program but nothing was heard from the individual nor his camp. This has to be an egg on the faces of the Beavers after making such an announcement before the player has made a final decision.

Coming from Antelope Valley HS in California, he was ranked as a four star recruit, the sixth best prospect from the state of California, sixth best at his position, and 40th overall, according to 247 Sports.

Oregon was a finalist for his LOI on National Signing Day for the class of 2018 but he ultimately chose the Trojans. Reportedly he was favoring the Ducks before making the choice for USC.

A s/o to CaDuck for posting the story in the Quack Fix.

Welcome to Eugene, Devon!
