Eugene, Oregon - The Oregon Ducks (15-2, 5-1) scored over 100 in their thrashing of the California Golden Bears (8-9, 0-6), ultimately defeating the vising team 105 to 55.
Satou Sabally scored a season-high 31 points and Sabrina Ionescu tied Gary Payton’s PAC-12 career assist record in the blowout victory.

1ST HALF: Minyon Moore helped set the tone for the Ducks by tallying a pair of three-pointers, four assists and two steals halfway through the first quarter. Oregon raced to an 8-2 lead when Jaelyn Brown responded with a fastbreak layup, but Oregon’s starters met little resistance on their way to the bucket, finishing the first quarter on an 11-2 run resulting in a 17-point lead.
Freshman Jaz Shelley scored her only points of the game at the start of the second quarter and the Ducks continued to have success on both ends of the court. Satou Sabally had an especially good first half, scoring 22 of her season-high 31 points before halftime. The Ducks led 57 to 27 at the half and the crowd of 10,725 were thrilled with the showing.
2ND HALF: A three-pointer from Jazlen Green kicked off the third quarter and the Golden Bears were hoping the second half would be kinder than the first, but even when Boley, Sabally, Moore and Hebard were subbed out for much of the third quarter, the Ducks were able to build and maintain a 40-point lead for the majority of the half. Erin Boley hit three of her six triples in the fourth quarter, helping to expand Oregon’s already lopsided lead. The Ducks outscored the Golden Bears 20 to 8 in the final 6:51 of the game.
Oregon’s 50-point win capped off their best week of the season after holding both the #3 Stanford Cardinal and the California Golden Bears to 55 points. Sabrina Ionescu didn’t match her 37-point performance against Stanford, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have a fantastic game; the Triple-Double Queen finished with 14 points, 10 assists and six rebounds and tied Gary Payton’s All-Time PAC-12 career assist record for men’s and women’s basketball at 938.
The Ducks await the Beavers in a home-and-home Civil War series that will be crucial in the PAC-12 race. No. 8 Oregon State is coming off a 61-58 home loss against the No. 3 Stangord Cardinal while Oregon has outscored their last two opponents 192 to 110, but that doesn’t mean the Ducks should sleep on this very talent Beaver team, especially in a sold out Gill Coliseum.
