LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - The #3 Oregon Ducks (24-2, 13-1) beat the USC Trojans (13-12, 5-9) by a score of 93 to 67. Erin Boley scored a season high 25 points and drained seven triples, and Minyon Moore tallied 11 assists against her former team.

1ST HALF: The Trojans scored the first seven points of the game, but former Trojan Minyon Moore hit a free throw at the 6:11 mark that began an 8-0 run for the Ducks that ended with a triple from Satou Sabally; in the first quarter, Sabally scored 10 of Oregon’s 20 points. USC managed to stay within two scores throughout the opening quarter, but their 9-8 lead would be the final time the Trojans led the Ducks.

USC scored four unanswered points to start the second and cut the lead to one, but a couple of made free throws from Ruthy Hebard were followed by a pair of Erin Boley triples to give Oregon some breathing room. Boley went on to sink seven three-pointers and score a team high 25 points as the Ducks boatraced the home team. The second quarter featured a 13-2 run by Oregon before Alissa Pili and Endyia Rogers were able to respond with some buckets before the half. The Ducks led the Trojans 43 to 32 entering halftime.

2ND HALF: Sabrina Ionescu scored three points on an and-one to kick off the second-half scoring and the Ducks scored eight consecutive points (including a Boley triple) to establish a 19-point cushion. Kayla Overbeck was finally able to score the Trojan’s first points of the third off a jumper with 5:47 remaining but Boley deflated their momentum with another three, then when Alyson Miura seemed to earn some back with a triple, Ionescu drained a three to put Oregon up by 20. In the third quarter alone, the Ducks were six of eight on three-pointers which allowed them to enter the final frame with a healthy 18 point lead.

Sabally scored five straight to start the final quarter, and the Trojans were only able to get within 18 points of the Ducks as Ionescu and crew tallied their 12th straight win and seventh straight road win. Hebard, Sabally, and Ionescu finished with double-doubles and Minyon Moore recorded a season high 11 assists against her former team. It’s now been a calendar year since the Oregon Football team, Men’s Basketball team, or Women’s Basketball team has lost at home.

The Ducks are currently first place in the PAC-12 with four games left in the regular season and a one-game advantage over #8 Stanford. Oregon will battle at Berkeley before a crucial battle at Stanford on Monday.
