EUGENE, OREGON - The #3 Oregon Ducks (21-2, 10-1) put together a fantastic third quarter to push past the #12 Arizona Wildcats (18-4, 7-4) and win at Matt Knight by a score of 85 to 52.

Sabrina Ionescu recorded her 24th career triple-double and the Ducks earned another top 25 win over a conference opponent.

1ST HALF: The game started with a rare occurrence: a Sabrina Ionescu turnover. Sophomore Wildcat Cate Reese was responsible for the steal and the three-pointer that followed it, giving the visiting team their first and only lead of the game at 3-0. Satou Sabally assisted a Ruthy Hebard jumper and then a Sabrina Ionescu triple that put Oregon up early; these two shots were the beginning of an 11-0 run for the Ducks. Helena Pueyo hit Arizona’s second triple of the night at the 2:58 mark and for the rest of the evening they would not hit another. Oregon ended the first quarter with an eight-point advantage over the 12th ranked Wildcats.

Ionescu kicked off the second quarter with a layup set up by Sabally that gave the Ducks a 10-point lead, but the Wildcats responded by scoring eight consecutive points, cutting the lead to two before a Taylor Chavez layup once again gave the Ducks some breathing room. Oregon finished the frame outscoring the Wildcats 19 to 4, capping off the quarter with a Sabally triple.

2ND HALF: Ruthy Hebard showed up big for the Ducks in the second half, scoring the first nine points for her team coming out of halftime. Arizona was 0-for-2 from three-point land in the third while Oregon hit five triples, none more impressive than Sabrina Ionescu’s last-second, off-balance, deep three that got the crowd on their feet.

The rest of the game turned into triple-double watch for Ionescu who entered the fourth quarter two assists shy of her 24th career triple-double. A dish to Hebard notched number 24 for Ionescu and the crowd made sure to let her know they were grateful for the performance. Satou Sabally also nearly recorded a triple-double, Hebard led all scorers with 22 points, and Taylor Chavez made a huge difference off the bench by hitting three triples and finishing with 17 points. The tenacious Duck D held Aari McDonald, the PAC-12 leader in scoring, to just six points before the fourth quarter.

Oregon has a chance at earning some revenge when #19 ASU visits Matt Knight this Sunday - the Sun Devils are the only PAC-12 team to have beaten the Ducks this season.
