In these strange and chaotic times, it’s nice to be able to rely on something. Once again, Dana Altman and the Oregon basketball team are adding a talented grad transfer to fill a spot of need during the offseason.
Amauri Hardy was a standout guard while at UNLV and became one of the top available grad transfers after the conclusion of the 2019-20 season. The 6’2 combo guard committed to Oklahoma State after graduating from high school but ended up choosing UNLV after a coaching change.
He averaged 14.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists last season. Hopefully the addition of a veteran player will help ease the transition from a Payton Pritchard led team. Hardy will be immediately eligible to join fellow transfers Jalen Terry, Eric Williams Jr and Eugene Omoruyi. Aaron Estrada is expected to sit out next season, but with the possibility of eligibility rule changes perhaps he can join the fun a little early.
So let’s give a Hardy welcome to our new Duck baller!
