1. Tell us about your background with the University of Oregon. Are you an alum? A general fan?
I wish I had the privilege of calling myself an alum, but I am just a regular ole’ Duck fan.
2. Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you currently reside? What are your hobbies? Have you previously written for other sports sites?
I am 26 years old, I currently live just outside St. Louis, MO. I am a huge sports guy, especially football and basketball. I love playing video games, frisbee golf and going on walks with my wife and our two dogs. I do have previous experience, I wrote for Grizzly Bear Blues, the SB Nation site for the Memphis Grizzlies for the past 3 years.
3. Who are your top three favorite Duck athletes?
These are my favorite Ducks. I have a hard time narrowing it down to just three, so here are four (in no particular order).
- Dillon Brooks
- Marcus Mariota
- Sabrina Ionescu
- Luke Ridnour (Bonus)
4. What is your Favorite Duck memory?
My favorite Duck memory is a tie between the 2017 Ducks win over Kansas in the Elite Eight and the 2012 Rose Bowl win over Russell Wilson and the Wisconsin Badgers. (I should also mention I’m from Wisconsin). I have many favorite Ducks moments, but these are by far the best.
5. Who would you root for if you couldn’t root for the Ducks?
If I couldn’t root for the Ducks, I’d have to pick either my hometown Badgers, or the Mizzou Tigers (current residence). But thankfully I don’t have to!
6. What’s your favorite sport to cover?
My favorite sport is easily basketball. I’m much better at covering it than playing it, but both are endless fun for me. Football is second place, but basketball reigns supreme for me.
7. Obligatory: Twizzlers or Red Vines? Five Guys or In and Out? Fruit in beer – delicious nirvana or evil abomination?
Twizzlers over Red Vines (obviously), I have to say Five Guys over In and Out. As for fruit in beer, I like an orange slice in a Blue Moon every now and then, but that’s where I draw the line. I am beyond thrilled to contribute to such a great site, and I hope to provide ATQ readers with some interesting and meaningful content!!
Go Ducks!
