Could this be the best recruiting class in Oregon football history? Mario Cristobal certainly thinks so, though we’ll likely be saying the same thing for the 2022 class at this rate.

Keanu Williams is a four-star defensive end out of Clovis, California, and on July 11th the talented prospect committed to the Ducks on Instagram live. At 6-5. 290, the promising strong-side defensive lineman continues Oregon’s recent trend of adding talent and size to the trenches.

According to Brandon Huffman of 247

“(Williams) has a quick first step and plays with leverage, using his length to get to the ball carrier and quarterback. Can get caught overpursuing but shows ability to get to the play quickly. Good at dipping and ripping, showing a variety of moves but also using his strength and physicality overpower blockers. Plays with consistency and shows a good motor and routinely makes impact plays. Projects as a Power 5 starter and third day NFL pick.”

He had an offer from every other PAC-12 school, but ended up choosing the Ducks. With the addition of Williams, Oregon is expected to maintain their lead against USC for the top 2021 recruiting class in the conference and could be in the top five come signing day!
