Christian Burkhalter, 3* OLB/DE, Commits to Ducks

Oregon now ranked No. 3 nationally in 2021 recruiting!

The Oregon Ducks now have the No. 3 recruiting class of 2021 thanks to the commitment of Christian Burkhalter.

The three-star outside linebacker/ defensive end hails from Spanish Fort, Alabama and currently is listed at 6’5, 230 pounds. He is the 18th ranked player out of Alabama, the 34th ranked prospect at his position and the 499th ranked prospect overall, according to the 247 composite.

Nineteen other schools offered Burkhalter, including Arkansas, Florida State, Duke, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State and UCLA.

After barely trailing LSU and Tennessee in the rankings, the addition of Burkhalter resulted in a leap by the Ducks from No. 5 to No. 3. Only No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Alabama are currently ahead of Oregon, which means Cristobal is incredibly close to turning this program into a true blueblood contender.
