Due to Covid-19 protocols, the Ducks Men’s Basketball program once again will come to a screeching halt. The Ducks, (9-3 overall, 4-2 in Pac-12) are coming off a tough loss to their in-state rivals Oregon State last Saturday, and were set to travel to Los Angeles this weekend for a three-game slate against UCLA (twice) and USC. These games will have to be rescheduled as soon as the Pac-12 can figure out what will work best for all the schools involved.

This is Oregon’s 2nd Covid-related pause this month, as earlier they had to put contests against Arizona and Arizona State on hiatus, neither of those games have been rescheduled as of yet. The next Oregon game on the schedule is Feb. 4th vs Washington State.
While it’s no doubt frustrating for the team to be put back on pause after a tough loss at home, the extra time ensures that both Chris Duarte and LJ Figueroa will be ready to play. Both sat out against OSU due to Covid protocols. Perhaps even Will Richardson, who hasn’t appeared yet this season due to surgery back in 2020 might be ready to go. Getting the junior guard back would be a big boost for the Ducks against what is looking like a loaded schedule for the latter part of the year.
