Time to find out if ATQ is mostly wrong or mostly right!
Make your prediction for who will win this week’s PAC-12 contest and who will cover. At the end of the year we’ll tally the total and find out if we know what the Hell we’re talking about.
Last week was an excellent week to make a lot of money in Vegas, because the ATQ hivemind chose the winner correctly 70 percent of the time and then picked correctly against the spread 56 percent of the time! Good enough to get the ol’ guitar back from the pawn shop!
As for this week’s RESIDENT GENIUS AWARD, the winner is:
ShouldabeenaDuck
Oregon 35 UCLA 31
AB overcomes a rough first half to put the team on his back and win the game in the final minutes. 250 combined yards and 3 total touchdowns with no turnovers
...and in an unprecedented move, MM will admit he made a mistake in Week 4 by not including Tim? into the Resident Genius awards for that week. So, BOOM! Tim? gets one more for his mantle.
Now, onto the picks!

WASHINGTON STATE @ ARIZONA STATE
TIME/CHANNEL: Saturday, 12:00 PM, FS1
SEASON RECORD: WSU (4-4, 3-2) / ASU (5-2, 3-1)
HISTORICAL RECORD: These two teams haven’t played each other since 2018, a game in which the huskies won 27-20 in Seattle, and historically the Sun Devils own the series lead, 20-17-0.
MM’s MUSINGS: Wazzu still managed to look competitive against PAC-12 Killer BYU last saturday despite losing half their coaching staff to idiocy. Which possibly means they’ll be ready for the PAC-12 South leader ASU, who has looked solid thus far against every team they’ve faced outside of the state of Utah. A win for the Cougs would throw the South into chaos, so it almost seems destine to happen, but Herm’s devils look ready to attack De Laura all night. Should be a fun one!

COLORADO @ No. 7 OREGON
TIME/CHANNEL: Saturday, 12:30 PM, FOX
SEASON RECORD: CU (2-5, 1-3) / UO (6-1, 3-1)
HISTORICAL RECORD: Since their first game in 1949, the Ducks and Buffs have played each other 22 times. Oregon currently holds a 13-9-0 lead over Colorado.
MM’s MUSINGS: There’s no real reason why Colorado should keep up with the Ducks in this one, however, this season’s Oregon team has kept it close against both great and mediocre talent. Still, Autzen should be loud and excited and Thibodeaux will feast due to this terrible Buff O-line.
No way this one is close, right? RIGHT?!?!?

ARIZONA @ USC
TIME/CHANNEL: Saturday, 4:00 PM, ESPNU
SEASON RECORD: UA (0-7, 0-4) / USC (3-4, 2-3)
HISTORICAL RECORD: Trojans have dominated the series, 35-8-0, over the Wildcats
MM’s MUSINGS: A win for Arizona would snap a 19-game losing streak for the WIldcats, while the Trojans will likely be able to escape this one with a victory despite having thrown in the towel as a team a couple weeks back. Still, USC has been blown out in their previous three home stands, maybe the Wildcats will be hungry enough to take advantage of these terrible Trojans.

OREGON STATE @ CALIFORNIA
TIME/CHANNEL: Saturday, 4:00 PM, PAC-12 NETWORK
SEASON RECORD: OSU (5-2, 3-1) / CAL (2-5, 1-3)
HISTORICAL RECORD: The Beavers have beaten the Golden Bears twice in a row, and will need to win their next three to tie Cal’s 38-35-0 record over OSU.
MM’s MUSINGS: Can Oregon State maintain their momentum towards what could be an awesome Platypus Classic at the end of the year that decides the fate of the PAC-12 North, or will they fall to the offensively-troubled Golden Bears in front of a mostly apathetic home crowd?

UCLA @ UTAH
TIME/CHANNEL: Saturday, 7:00 PM, ESPN
SEASON RECORD: UCLA (5-3, 3-2) / UU (4-3, 3-1)
HISTORICAL RECORD: UCLA has the 11-7-0 series lead over Utah, though Utah has won their previous four matchups against the Bruins.
MM’s MUSINGS: If either of these teams want to hang around the race for the PAC-12 South then this game is a must win. DTR and the Bruins are coming off of a tough loss to the class of the conference, while Utah just got deflated by the other Oregon school. This game likely has the biggest implications for the PAC-12 Championship game and will hopefully be an entertaining, hard-fought battle between the two.

wASHINGTON @ STANFORD
TIME/CHANNEL: Saturday, 7:30 PM, FS1
SEASON RECORD: Uw (3-4, 2-2) / STAN (3-4, 2-3)
HISTORICAL RECORD: Last season’s win over washington gave Stanford the 44-43-4 series lead over the mutts of Montlake.
MM’s MUSINGS: Can the Cardinal once again embarrass the huskies? We hope so.
