The 6-foot-1, 195-pound QB out of Gordo, Alabama is rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports, but the 247 composite lists him as a four star. A broken collarbone suffered during his junior season at Gordo High School led to him missing some time on the field and as a result his rating took a hit, but he returned to lead his squad to the state championship game and has gained a lot of attention as of late.
Bailey received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, South Carolina and many other programs, but ultimately it was his connection with offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead — who was one of the first coaches to offer Bailey a scholarship when he was head coach at Mississippi State — that convinced the promising pro-style quarterback to leave Alabama and come to Oregon.
He’s the No. 9 pro-style quarterback and the 11th best prospect out of Alabama and joins a 2022 class that includes four-star WDE Gracen Halton, four-star TE Andre Dollar, four-star S Landon Hullaby, four-star OLB Emar’rion Winston and 6-8, 360-pound OT Percy Lewis!
