The Ducks have scored another commitment for the class of 2022. Michael Wooten officially announced his decision on Instagram on Monday after raving about his visit to Eugene in June.

“Where I’m from most people don’t make it out, I would like to thank the man above for blessing me with this opportunity and for making it this far!!”

“Also I would like to thank everyone who supported me along the way!! With that being said I am 110% committed to the University of Oregon! #scoducks”

It was down to Oregon and Colorado for Wooten, the 3-Star prospect out of Chatsworth, California, but in the end he elected to go with o-line-minded Cristobal. At 6-foot-6, 290-pounds, Wooten is the 82nd prospect out of California and the 116th at his position, according to the 247 composite.

His performance at Sierra Canyon High School has earned him offers from Colorado, Arizona State, San Diego State, UNLV, Utah and Virginia. Wooten is Oregon’s 11th commit of the 2022 class, which moved to 16th nationally with Wooten’s commitment. Check out his sophomore highlights below.
