As of publication, the Ducks possess a top-5 class in the class of 2022 thanks to the addition of Jalil Tucker from San Diego, California.

The 6-foot, 180-pound two-way player joins the Ducks about a week after Lincoln high school teammate Jahlil Florence joined the flock. Tucker is the sixth highest athlete and the 11th ranked out of the state of California, according to the 247Sports Composite.

With the commitment of Tucker, Oregon sits at No. 5 nationally, behind No. 1 Penn State, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 3 Ohio State, and No. 4 Alabama, and just ahead of No. 6 Georgia and No. 7 LSU. No. 24 Stanford is the only other PAC-12 team currently in the top 25 of the 2022 recruiting class ranking.

Oregon beat out 21 other schools that made an offer, including Arizona, Arizona State, California, Oregon State, USC, Utah, Washington State, Ohio State and others. Tucker is Oregon’s third highest ranked recruit of the class, behind 5-star Kelvin Banks and 4-star Tetairoa McMillan.
