It may be Valentine’s Day, but there will be no love lost between these two PNW foes. The Cougars have been surprisingly good this year and currently sit in the middle of the conference with a 7-5 record (14-9 overall). They’ve only faced one ranked team all season, so it’s tough to gauge how good they really are. Then again, it’s tough to know which Oregon team will show up for any given game.
Last year WSU edged the Ducks 74-71 in their only match up of the season. Oregon’s leading scorer Chris Duarte exited the game with an ankle injury. After that game Oregon went on a tear, winning 11 of their next 12 games. Hopefully something similar follows this game.
