The Oregon Ducks have opened as a 15-point favorite over the Iona Gaels in the NCAA Tournament, per VegasInsider.
The Midwest regional matchup tips off Friday, 11 a.m. PT at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. TBS is handling broadcast duties.
The Ducks fell just short of the Pac-12 Tournament title but still have a great shot at making a deep run in the tournament. Iona made the Big Dance by winning the MAAC Championship and sports a 22-12 overall record. Besides being huge underdogs, the Gaels a much longer trip to the game than Oregon.
The winner will face either Creighton or Rhode Island in the second round. Creighton would be an intriguing matchup because Dana Altman was the head coach there for more than a decade before coming to Eugene.
