Remember that cover of TIME magazine last spring that grossed everybody out? You know the one . . . with the mom and the kid? Well I fixed it . . .
This was a ton of fun to make and I learned a ton consulting for the video. There is always more I could have put in, but we can’t go too long. It was also handy to have the defensive plays of two years charted by a coach in Colorado for me, which was a ton of work that I benefited from. Come back here to discuss, and I can’t help wondering that if this isn’t the blitz we’ll see the most this year with our fast and experienced personnel? Thanks to all.
Hello again Duck fans, here we go with plenty of chat on the Ducks and the rest of the world of sports. Thanks ATQ and GO DUCKS!
ATQTube preseason coverage has begun, with a quick look at the quarterback race.
The Ducks released their 105 man camp roster today and Rob Moseley reports several new additions, including junior college running back Bill Chimphalee from Kenai, Alaska. Chimphalee is a 6'0, 215 lbs running back and will have two years of eligibility at Oregon. Not a lot is known about him at this point but he is the type of bruising, change-of-pace back that will add depth and versatility to the Oregon backfield. You can watch his video highlights here. It looks like he does a lot of blocking out of the backfield and on special teams, which is always integral to Oregon's run/return game. He's also an early front-runner for the "best name on the team" crown with news that Axel McQuaw is NOT on the 105 man roster. According to Moseley, other walk-on additions include freshman running back Lane Roseberry (6-1, 230) from Bly, freshman linebacker Dawson Housley (6-3, 200) of Eugene, and junior offensive lineman Hushun Smith (6-3, 323) of Los Angeles.
ESPN announced the broadcast teams for this season today. Of note, I did not see Mike Bellotti anywhere on the list. Anyone know if he is going to still be on the studio shows, or if he was cut entirely?
BJ Kelley and Byron Marshall posted them, figure you guys would like to see 'em
Interesting news this afternoon as Rob Moseley of the Register Guard is reporting that Josh Huff's trial for a DUII arrest last March has been pushed back to January 23rd. Sounds like there are multiple issues that make the incident more complicated than a typical DUII case. Huff has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge. It's unclear how the ongoing case will affect Huff's eligibility this fall, though the athletic department has yet to levy any discipline. Huff was Oregon's leading receiver last year and figures to be an even bigger part of the offense this year now that he is fully healthy. In an interview with Dan Rubenstein of Solid Verbal, Chip Kelly indicated that Huff was one of several players he expects to use in a hybrid WR/RB role this year.
Ducks are ranked number five in coaches poll, behind LSU, Alabama, USC, and Oklahoma.....less than 30 days to kickoff!
