2009-2010 Men's Basketball Schedule

The men's basketball schedule has officially been released. We aren't in the Pape Jam this year, but we have a nice Pac-10/ Big 12 Hardwood series matchup against Missouri.

Clemens not making it so easy for Sanchez

I decided to check up on the QB competition in New York. Clemens looks to be getting most first team snaps. Can the Cowboy get it done?

Is there a Nike conspiracy?

Is there a Nike conspiracy?

The wacky dudes on one of the morning sports talk shows suggested this morning that recruits like Terrelle Pryor, Bryce Brown, Marcus Lattimore are being asked by Nike to simply state that they are interested in Oregon when in fact they never have any interest in attending at all. He suggested that Nike is promising them favors when they make it to the NFL in exchange for listing Oregon as a potential school. What? I don't know but it's got me thinking...

Bev Smith has a New Gig in Eugene

According to KMTR, Bev Smith was hired as the new Executive Director of Kidsports. A formal announcement is scheduled for Tuesday. "I think it’s more hype than anything, honestly. Was he a five star (high school prospect)? Not putting down Taylor Mays, not putting down his athletic ability and what he’s accomplished. But just the (Trojans’) style of defense, they really just have him in the deep middle. It’s really not a lot of action, I think it’s more just physical. That’s why he has a lot of hype around him because of his physical stature. He’s a really big safety — 6-4, 230. Those are really rare in college these days. Besides that, I think he’s a great player, though."
