Mark Helfrich Gets Mention for the Fresno State Job

You know the season isn’t going well when the Oregon Ducks head coach is getting mentioned in mid-major coaching searches halfway through the year.

Fresno State fired head coach Tim DeRuyter over the weekend, and as always there is immediate speculation over his replacement.

The Score put together a list of four potential candidates. They are Alabama OC Lane Kiffin (admittedly a very long shot), former Cal coach Jeff Tedford (the reported front runner), USC special teams coordinator John Baxter and... Oregon coach Mark Helfrich:

If Chip Kelly really does end up back in Eugene, or some other coach takes over, maybe Helfrich can find a home in California’s central valley.
