Even though his last season at Clemson culminated in a national championship, defensive tackle Scott Pagano will be transferring for his final year of eligibility.

The Honolulu native is taking his time picking the right school and will visit five different programs, including the Oregon Ducks, before making a decision.

According to 247Sports, Pagano will visit Notre Dame March 24, Oklahoma March 31, Arkansas April 7, Texas April 14 and Oregon April 21. It’s actually a vastly trimmed lineup from the original 37 offers he received. Nebraska and Cal are also reportedly still in the mix.

The former four-star recruit stands 6-4, 280 pounds and graduated from Clemson with a degree in sociology last December. He was an important part of the Tiger defense, notching 93 career tackles, eight tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

This quote from Clemson coach Dabo Swinney could bode well for Oregon:

“He indicated to me that he wants to start his graduate degree and play his final year of college football, probably on the West Coast.”
