- As you've no doubt heard, Oregon picked up two important commitments. First, the Ducks got their QB in Travis Waller. Then, later in the day, Oregon got a commitment from PJ Locke, a safety from Texas with a pretty ridiculous offer list.
- Waller's commitment has been a long time coming, as Andrew Greif details. Oregon had pursued a number of QBs recently, before offering Waller. When Waller was finally offered, he quickly accepted. And he's already recruiting other players to Oregon, including yesterday's other commit, Locke.
- Bad news for a former Duck. Kiko Alonso injured his knee in offseason workouts. It's reportedly an ACL tear, and he's expected to miss the entire season.
- Ted Miller rounds up what the preseason magazines say about the Pac-12. Oregon is the only consensus top 10 team, with six Pac-12 teams getting mentions in top 25s. Miller has a bit more on Oregon's favorite status here.
