It's Christmas in February. With football officially over, we can look forward to a number of rumored high-schoolers signing to become Ducks throughout the day. Here's what to keep your eyes out for throughout the day.
First off, according to Justin Hopkins from Duck Territory, Oregon may be announcing letters of intent as they are received. I'm happy about that, because come on, that waiting stuff was just stupid. It's fun to celebrate each announcement, and each kid as they come in individually.
Oregon is currently expecting at least 15 signed letters of intent tomorrow, on top of the 3 junior college players that have already signed their letters of intent. Along with those 15, here are the players that will be announcing tomorrow. If you want to get a jump start on getting to know the freshmen, Moseley has an article on Jalen Brown, a recruit who is already on campus.
6:30 AM, Trey Lealaimatafao, 3* DT: Out of San Antonio, Trey is expected to choose between Oregon and LSU. At this point, it's not looking good for Oregon. Though the Ducks were the early favorite, Trey's visit to Eugene didn't seem to go very well, and he's now he's expected to pick LSU according to 247's Crystal Ball.
7:30 AM, ESPNU, Mattrell McGraw, 4* Safety: McGraw comes from New Orleans, and has long been rumored to be an Oregon lean. The safety is 100% to Oregon according to 247's Crystal Ball, though he's choosing between the Ducks and Texas A&M.
10 AM, Khalil Oliver, 3* safety: Oliver will decide between Oregon, Washington, and Boise State. He visited Oregon last weekend.
1 PM, ESPNU, John "Juju" Smith, 5* Athlete: Smith comes from Long Beach, CA and Oregon has only recently been rumored to be a favorite for Smith. Oregon wasn't on the radar, until the last week, when most experts have predicted that Smith will choose Oregon. This could be the big flip Oregon fans have come to expect in the beginning of February.
At 1:30, Mark Helfrich will hold his Signing Day press conference to introduce the new Ducks. Hopefully it'll be another great day for Oregon football. Stick around, we'll have the latest news here at ATQ. GO DUCKS!
