Oregon received a commitment from defensive back Jihree Stewart of Centennial High School in Corona, California on Thursday. Stewart announced the news via Twitter.

Stewart visited the Ducks unofficially on June 10. He is 5'11, 173 lbs and could play cornerback or safety at Oregon. He is a three star rated recruit according to the 247Sports composite ranking but a player who was offered early in the process by John Neal, a coach who has been as good as any in the country at developing defensive backs and sending them to the NFL. On his video highlights, Stewart looks like a prototypical Neal recruit: he has a nose for the ball and plays very physical. He chose Oregon over offers from Washington, Wisconsin, Utah, and Arizona State, among others.
