Oregon offers 5-star ATH Tyreke Johnson

Ducks are aiming high.

Willie Taggart has sent out a flurry of offers since taking over as Oregon Ducks head coach, including for some of the nation’s highest-profile recruits.

That trend continued Monday as the Ducks offered 2018 five-star athlete Tyreke Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida.

Johnson, 6-1 and 177 pounds, holds offers from just about every top program and is thought to be favoring Florida State and UCLA, per 247Sports. He’s the No. 2 safety in the nation in his class.

Of course, Taggart just came from Johnson’s home state and clearly thinks it’s worth a shot trying to recruit him. And since he’s an uncommitted 2018 target Oregon has a while to work on him.

USF offered Johnson way back in January 2014 while Taggart was in the middle of his Tampa tenure.

Needless to say he’d be a huge pickup for the Ducks:
