After decommitting from USC earlier this week, 4-star DE Torrodney Prevot has committed to Oregon! QUACK!

No Chip Kelly? No problem. Mark Helfrich and the Oregon coaching staff continue to build on their strong class with their 4th signing day announcement, 4-star DE Torrodney Prevot. Prevot recently decommitted from USC after late visits to Oregon and Texas A&M. On signing day, Prevot chose Oregon. Texas A&M was the presumed favorite, but speculation was that their large class and another late DE signing pushed Rodney to Oregon.

Rodney is a bit on the small side, weighing only 200 pounds, and is considered a bit of a project. But he picked up 12 sacks his junior year, and has displayed an ability to get the QB. Under strength coach Jim Radcliffe, Rodney should be able to bulk up and find a spot in Oregon's versatile defense.

With Oregon missing out on a number of LB prospects this year, including Wilsonville's Johnny Ragin III, Rodney helps complete the class. He is the only DE signed by Oregon this year, though after the 2012 class, it wasn't a real position of need.

Hunt's commitment confirms rumors that have been floating around for several weeks.

Confirming reports that leaked out earlier this week, Cameron Hunt today announced his commitment to Oregon.

Hunt was rumored to favor Oregon for some time, and then officially de-committed from Cal earlier this week. Shortly thereafter Rivals reported that Hunt would sign his letter of intent with Oregon and play for the Ducks.

Hunt -- who paved the way for two 1,000-yard running backs at Centennial -- holds 19 offers, was named to the 2013 CalHiSports all-state football first team last month, and was honored as the Los Angeles Times Lineman of the Year in December.

At 6'5, 275 lbs Hunt is an Under-Armor All-American and four star recruit by most recruiting services. Bud Elliott of SBNation recruiting has praised Hunt's footwork and technique in the past, though suggested that Hunt could stand to get stronger. Hunt is agile and athletic and should do well in Oregon's up-tempo offense as he can get down the field quickly.

On the heels of the Rivals Report, our friends at CaliforniaGoldenBlogs had this to say:

There is no denying that having Hunt migrate over to the Ducks is a major blow. Many recruiting services had him as the best player in Cal's 2013 class, and the Bears will likely tumble a spot or two simply for losing him.

Hunt helps round out a very strong and much needed offensive line class, which also includes 4* tackle Evan Voeller and 3* linemen Jake Pisarcik, Elijah George, and Doug Brenner. He is Oregon's 18th verbal commitment in the 2013 class.

After flirting with Ohio State and Washington, twins Tyree and Tyrell Robinson will sign with Oregon on National Signing Day.

It was a bumpy ride, but when it mattered, the Robinson twins stuck with the Ducks and signed with Oregon on National Signing Day. Duck Sports Authority's AJ Jacobson spoke with the twins today, and confirmed their decision to stay with Oregon.

Both twins look to play on the defensive side of the ball. At 6'3 200 pounds, consensus 4-star Tyrell Robinson will fit very well in Oregon's versatile defensive scheme, and could play a number of positions, though is projected at outside linebacker. His brother 3/4-star Tyree Robinson is a bit smaller, but will likely play safety at Oregon.

A big selling point for both athletes was also playing basketball, and they will likely get a shot at playing for Dana Altman.

Of all the Oregon recruits that were questionable after Chip Kelly's departure, the Robinson twins worried me the most. Their athletic ability will be a great fit for Nick Aliotti's schemes, and losing them would have been a large blow to the overall talent in the class.

However, getting the twins to stick with Oregon despite a last minute trip to Washington is another example of just how good a job Mark Helfrich and the rest of the Oregon coaching staff did after Chip Kelly's departure. Despite losing the best coach in school history, Helfrich and company lost only one commit over the past few weeks. There could be few worse times in the recruiting cycle for Kelly to leave, but Helfrich and the coaches hit the recruiting trail extremely hard, went after their prospects, and for the most part got them. Despite some misses, they held the original class intact and it looks like they stand to expand it a bit.

For now, welcome Tyree and Tyrell! We can't wait to see you on the field. And for Helfrich and company, I can't wait to see what they can do with a full year under their belts.

Today is the day where all future Ducks become official.

National Signing Day is finally upon us, which means the days of creepily following the every Tweet of high school students can cease, at least until recruiting heats up again this summer.

There should be little drama for Oregon. 15 of the Ducks' 17 commitments are considered solid, and the Robinson twins are reportedly going to affirm their commitment to UO. Oregon is waiting on a few recruits who are announcing today. Here is the schedule:

The Robinson twins are announcing their decision between Oregon and Washington at 7:30 a.m. PT. Rumors as of Tuesday night indicate that they will likely stay committed to Oregon.

4* defensive lineman Cameron Hunt will announce his decision, and reportedly has decommitted from Cal and will sign with the Ducks.

4* DE Terrodney Prevot has decommitted from USC, and will choose between Oregon and Texas A&M. The Aggies are widely considered the favorite in this one.
